Fire breaks out at coil factory in Gazipur
The fire was brought under control at 2:55 pm
A fire broke out at a coil factory in the Bagher Bazar area of Rajendrapur, Gazipur, today (19 November).
The incident was reported at around 12:55pm and seven firefighter units were deployed to bring the blaze under control, according to Fire Service officials.
The fire was brought under control at 2:55pm, Gazipur Fire Service confirmed.
Eyewitnesses said the fire suddenly broke out at the Phoenix factory in the Bager Bazar area this afternoon. Security personnel at the factory initially tried to bring the flames under control, but failed. As the fire intensified, the Fire Service was alerted.
Seven units worked to bring the fire under control, said Md. Mamun, Deputy Assistant Director of the Gazipur Fire Service
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined.
No casualties have been reported so far.
