Fire breaks out at market beside Hotel Ramna in Gulistan
A fire erupted at a clothing shop of a market adjacent to Hotel Ramna in the Gulistan Mor area early Wednesday (19 November 2025).
According to the fire service, the report of the incident was received at 12:30am, and the first units reached the scene within five minutes, at 12:35am.
Four units from the Siddikbazar Fire Station were deployed to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 12:58am.
The blaze, which started at 12:20am, originated at M Akbar Tailors, located on the third floor of the building, and was brought under control after half an hour of efforts by five units of the Fire Service, said Faisalur Rahman, South Zone Commander of the Fire Service.
He said several floors of the building have unprotected electrical wiring. The exact cause of the fire will be known after an investigation.
Further details regarding casualties or damage were not immediately available.
