Fire breaks out at oil shop in Rajshahi; owner dies

A fire broke out at an oil shop at Madariganj in Bagmara upazila of Rajshahi district today (3 March).
Touhidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bagmara Police Station, said the fire originated from a cigarette, broke out at the oil shop around 10am.
On information, a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
Abdul Awal, owner of the shop, panicked and fell sick.
Later, he was taken to the Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared him dead at 1:30pm.
