Fire at Mirpur-14 slum under control

A fire that broke out at a slum in the Bhashantek area of Dhaka's Mirpur-14 today (18 May) has been brought under control.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, seven units from the Mirpur, Kurmitola and Pallabifire stations brought under control around 9:10pm.
The fire service received the fire alert at 7:55pm. The first firefighting unit arrived at the scene at 8:10pm,
No casualties or extent of damage has been reported so far.
