Fire at Ctg warehouse under control
6 firefighting units were working to douse the blaze

A fire that broke out in a garment warehouse at Terry Bazar in Chattogram city today (16 March), has been brought under control after one and a half hours.
Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defense Assistant Director Anwar Hossain said the fire broke out at 7:35pm in a warehouse located on the second floor of a market in Terry Bazar.
Upon receiving the information, six units of the fire service went to the spot and brought the fire under control at 9:00pm, he added.
No casualties have been reported so far.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known yet.
Terry Bazaar, located next to the Andarkilla area of the city, is one of the largest wholesale cloth markets in the country, where about 1500 shops in more than 100 buildings reportedly do business worth Tk1,500 crore around Eid.
