Averroes marks red july with four-day creative festival

To commemorate the July Revolution 2024, Averroes International School organized 'Red July' exclusively at its Lalmatiya, Mirpur, and Uttara campuses from 1–4 August.
The programme's core focus was to instill the spirit of independence and remembrance of martyrs among students through thematic educational and inspirational activities.
Each day featured activities directly linked to the revolution's legacy, such as poetry recitation, essay writing, and debate competitions. Elementary students created handprint national flags, while older classes participated in focused artistic and literary contests, reinforcing the educational purpose of the event.
Noteworthy moments included a heartfelt recitation honoring martyr Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mughdha, a powerful speech by Tasin Ahmed, and a moving performance by Mehdi Sindid Chowdhury, each reinforcing the event's revolutionary focus.
A defining highlight was Mr Asadullah Ghalib's account of being wounded during the July uprising, sharing personal experiences that directly embodied the event's message of patriotism and sacrifice.
Nearly 4,000 students and over 600 staff members participated, creating an atmosphere that was true to the revolution's remembrance. In closing, Mr Mohammad Anisur Rahman Sohag emphasized the event's goal: connecting youth to the real history and significance of the July Revolution.
Averroes International School believes such initiatives play a vital role in sowing the seeds of patriotism, morality, leadership, and compassion among young learners, shaping future citizens who are inspired to make meaningful contributions to their country and uphold its proud heritage.
