Silent procession at Buet, ban on student politics demanded
A silent procession was brought out that paraded different roads on Buet campus

The teachers and students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) today demanded ban of student politics on the campus.
They also demanded capital punishment of the killers of Abrar Fahad, who was beaten to death allegedly by a group of Chhatra League men over suspected Chhatra Shibir affiliation on Monday night.
After a silent procession, that paraded different roads on Buet campus, Professor Dr Shafiqul Islam, Chairman of the EEE Department, said, "We demand maximum punishment to the killers and also don't want any more such tragic incident on the campus."
"We will take every possible action against any malpractices on the campus," he said.
Meanwhile, the students are continuing their protest for the third consecutive day on the campus demanding arrest and capital punishment to the killers.
They started gathering on the campus from different halls chanting slogans demanding to meet their 8-point demand.
