Nine National University officials placed on compulsory retirement

The 268th meeting of the National University Syndicate was held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the city office in Dhanmondi under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr ASM Amanullah. In the said meeting of the Syndicate, 09 (nine) more officials of the National University were given compulsory retirement on completion of 25 years of service. 
 
The proposal to amend the Service Statute of the National University by including provisions for voluntary retirement after completion of 25 years of service and retirement of an employee in the interest of the University was approved in the 263rd meeting of the Syndicate held on November 03, 2024, and ratified in the special Senate session of the University held on December 15 2024. Therefore, 09 (nine) officers have been given compulsory retirement in the interest of the University in today's Syndicate meeting, considering the need. Those given mandatory retirement are in Md Shah Alam Dhali, Deputy Registrar; Md. Mohsin Iqbal, Deputy Registrar; Premanand Shil, Deputy Registrar; Mohammad Shamim Alam Mridha, Deputy Registrar; Md. Jinnat Ara, Deputy Registrar; Amit Kumar Dam, Deputy Registrar; Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Registrar; Md. Matiur Rahman Mollah is the deputy registrar, and AKM Badrul Alam is the assistant registrar.
 
The Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Dr Md, attended the syndicate meeting. Mokhles Ur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education Siddique Jobayer (virtually connected), Professor Abul Kasem Fazlul Haque of Dhaka University, Professor Dr AI Mahbub Uddin Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the National University Professor Md Lutfar Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Nurul Islam, Treasurer, Professor Dr ATM Zafrul Azam, Professor Dr Aminul Islam Talukder of Dhaka University, Dean, Registrar (Additional Responsibilities) of the National University and other members of the Syndicate.
