MTB launches ai-powered virtual RM MITA
Mutual Trust Bank PLC has introduced MITA (MTB Intelligent Assistant), an AI-powered virtual relationship manager (RM) designed to serve both MTB customers and non-customers.
MITA is a personalised, humanoid virtual banking assistant that functions as a dedicated relationship manager for each user. Unlike conventional digital banking tools, MITA features a virtual human interface with a distinct persona, enabling users to interact via interactive buttons or voice commands.
As an AI-powered virtual RM, MITA can perform a wide range of functions typically handled by human relationship managers. These include answering banking-related queries, providing financial education and information, engaging in conversational interactions beyond banking topics and guiding users through onboarding and access to various banking services.
Speaking on the launch, Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and CEO of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, said, 'As part of MTB's commitment to digital excellence, MITA represents a new dimension in bank–customer interaction. It expands banking accessibility in Bangladesh by offering round-the-clock support for anyone, anywhere, as long as they have an internet-enabled device. MITA is designed to make banking more accessible, responsive and user-centric.'
MITA details is available online as well as the MTB NEO app on both the Android Play Store and iOS App Store platforms.
MTB said MITA will continue to learn and evolve, gradually offering a wider range of banking services and broader conversational capabilities as part of the bank's ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
