Names of 16 colleges changed
The order takes immediate effect following approval from the relevant authorities

The names of 16 colleges affiliated with the National University (NU) have been changed.
The change was confirmed in a recent notification signed by Kazi Nurul Islam, deputy secretary of the Private College Branch-6 under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education at the Ministry of Education.
The order takes immediate effect following approval from the relevant authorities.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib College in Natore Sadar has been renamed Chandrakola Degree College, while Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College in Kachua, Chandpur is now Rahimanagar Degree College. SM Mostafa Rashidi Shuja Girls College in Dighlia, Khulna has been renamed Pather Bazar Girls College, and Mohiuddin Degree College in Meherpur Sadar is now Meherpur Municipal Degree College.
Banglabazar Fatema Khanam Degree College in Bhola Sadar has been renamed Banglabazar Degree College. Tazumuddin Hosneara Chowdhury Women's College is now Tazumuddin Women's College. Haji Md Nubul Islam Chowdhury Degree College in Lalmohan has been renamed Lalmohan Degree College, while Nurnabi Chowdhury College is now Badarpur College. Abdullah Al Islam Jakob College in Char Fassion has been renamed Osmanganj United College.
Principal Nazrul Islam College is now Chairman Bazar Ideal College. Neelima Jakob Women's College has been renamed Dular Hat Model College, Dakshin Aicha Principal Nazrul Islam College is now Dokkhin Aicha College, and Principal Nazrul Islam Teachers Training College has been renamed Bhola Teachers Training College.
Abdullah Al Islam Jakob College in Shakuchia, Monpura has been renamed Sakuchia College. Aklima Moazzem Hossain Degree College in Jhalakathi Sadar is now Basonda College, and Mahbubur Rahman College in Rangabali, Patuakhali has been renamed Boro Baishdia College.
