Learning must continue during the Covid-19 pandemic: Buet VC
During the ceremony, Dr Satya Prasad congratulated ICMAB for its modern approach to learning and skill development

Vice Chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Dr Satya Prasad Majumder said learning must go on during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He made the statement during the inauguration ceremony of the "Skill Development Program (SDP) for students and Launching of CMA Directory Mobile App" organised by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on Saturday, said a press release issued by ICMAB on Sunday.
Vice President of SAFA AKM Delwer Hussain, ICMAB President Md Jasim Uddin Akond, Additional Managing Director of Standard Bank Touhidul Alam Khan and other high ranked officials from ICMAB and students were present during the ceremony.
Dr Satya Prasad said, "Through the help of technology we must continue our learning process in this Covid-19 period. This makes us ready for the upcoming changes and helps us become capable to work in the upcoming era of 4th industrial revolution."
During the ceremony, Dr Satya Prasad congratulated ICMAB for its modern approach to learning and skill development.
He also added that accounting is very relevant and important skill for the engineers, because their technical skill also requires the capacity of proper calculation.
AKM Delwer Hussain said that, skill development is such an important thing for any professional that it defines the result of their career. CMA professionals are very much capable to work for the development of the nations' economy.
ICMAB President Md Jasim Uddin Akond thanked all the guests and participants for attending the ceremony. He mentioned about the importance of skill development for learners from all phase and become capable to give their effort for the development of this country.
Md Mamunur Rashid, Vice-President & Chairman, Education Committee of ICMAB gave a brief description of the institute and the profession and also informed the recent reformation procedures of CMA curriculum for preparing the students competent in the competitive professional field.
Treasurer of ICMAB Md Ali Haider Chowdhury moderated the entire program connecting the audience and discussants and also gave his analysis regarding the topics of discussion.
Secretary of ICMAB Md Munirul Islam gave the welcome address and Mr Abu Bakar Siddique, Vice President of ICMAB gave vote of thanks to the participants and audience of the program.
