BUFT holds 2nd convocation
The ceremony was attended by members of the Academic Council and Syndicate, university vice-chancellors, government and corporate officials, faculty members, and guardians

The 2nd convocation of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) was held yesterday (8 February) at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre, where 2,731 students received their degrees.
According to a press release, Adilur Rahman Khan, adviser to the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing & Public Works, conferred the degrees as the representative of the Hon'ble President of Bangladesh and Chancellor of BUFT.
Renowned industrialist Kihak Sung, Chairman of Youngone Corporation, delivered the convocation speech, while BUFT Board of Trustees Chairman Faruque Hassan and Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan also spoke.
During the event, Chancellor's Gold Medals were awarded to eight students, the Chairman's Gold Medals to five, and the Vice Chancellor's Gold Medals to eleven students for academic excellence.
In his address, Faruque Hassan told the graduating students, "Let your passions drive your dreams and ambition elevate you to new heights of success. True success is measured by the positive impact you have on others."
He urged graduates to utilise their education for meaningful contributions to society, adding, "BUFT has provided a unique learning, discovery, experiment, and growth environment. Make the most of what BUFT has given you, and pay it forward to your community through your life's work and achievements."
