Youth leadership in focus as BUFT MUN 2025 begins

The BUFT International Model United Nations 2025 opened on 14 August with three days of debate, cultural exchange, and collaboration.
The opening ceremony at the BUFT Auditorium drew a number of notable attendees. BUFT Board of Trustees Chairman Faruque Hassan served as Chief Guest and praised the conference for fostering youth leadership and global awareness.
The event also featured addresses by Rashid Group Managing Director M Kafil Uddin Ahmed, Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Ayub Nabi Khan, Director of Student Welfare Gp Capt ANM Rafiqul Alam (Retd.), and BUFTMUNA Club Advisor Faruk Ahmed.
Secretary-General Sumiya Hafiz Pioshy declared the event open under the theme, "Harmonising compassion, diplomacy, and solidarity in the quest for sustainable peace and comprehensive security to redress global divides." The conference, running from August 14 to 16, will include daily committee sessions, a cultural night featuring a fashion show, and a gala night with the awards ceremony.
