DU hosts 'Jagroto July Concert' marking one year of Hasina's fall
Only students of the university will be allowed to attend the event, and the administration has already tightened security at the campus entrances to restrict the entry of outsiders.
To commemorate the historic July Uprising and celebrate the triumph against fascism, the Dhaka University (DU) administration is organising a concert titled 'Jagroto July Concert' on its campus today (5 August).
The concert is scheduled to take place at 7pm at the Raju Memorial Sculpture, adjacent to the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) premises.
Only students of the university will be allowed to attend the event, and the administration has already tightened security at the campus entrances to restrict the entry of outsiders.

Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan, vice-chancellor of the university, will attend the inaugural session as the chief guest, while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Sayema Haque Bidisha and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Mamun Ahmed will be present as special guests.
Bands including Dhaka University Band Society, Durgo, Lalon and Black will perform at the concert.
