DU expels 69 students over admission question paper leak
The university took the decision in a Disciplinary Board meeting on Tuesday
Dhaka University has expelled 69 students for cheating in admission tests between 2012-12 and 2016-17 academic sessions.
The university took the decision at a Disciplinary Board meeting on Tuesday.
Earlier, DU sent show-cause notices to the offenders to explain within seven days why they will not be expelled from the university.

No one responded to the notice.
Professor Dr Golam Rabbani, proctor and member secretary of the Disciplinary Board of the university, told The Business Standard, “We have expelled them after finding that the allegations of question paper leak were true.”
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police on June 23 this year pressed charges against 125 people, including 87 DU students, in a case filed over their alleged involvement in question paper leaks and cheating their way into the university.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of the CID, Sumon Kumar Das, who is investigating the case, submitted the charge sheet to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.
On June 26, the court issued warrants for the arrest of 78 students.
