Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,842 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division filed the cases and realised fines on 24 November during a regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release.

During the drive, a total of 41 vehicles were impounded and 62 others were towed.
