Woman killed as two buses collide in Barishal, at least 25 injured
A woman was killed when two buses collided head-on in Gournadi in Barishal today. The incident also left at least 25 people injured.
"The accident took place on Friday (22 September) at around 12:30pm in the area adjacent to Barthi Mandir of the upazila. A bus of Goongoon Paribahan collided with a bus of Jatayat Paribahan. The deceased has been identified as Delwara Begum, 60" Sub-Inspector (SI) Tamal of Gournadi Highway Police told The Business Standard.
He said that the deceased Delwara Begum's house is in Babuganj upazila. The body will be handed over to the family after legal proceedings.

The injured received primary treatment at the upazila health complex, police said.
Local Fire Service and Civil Defense said two units carried out a rescue operation and removed the two buses within an hour. At present, traffic is normal.
Passengers of the buses said that the speed of both the buses was reckless.
