Different organisations offer condolences on the death of Khaleda Zia
Regional and global organisations conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to her family and the people of Bangladesh
Various national and international organisations have expressed condolences following the death of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
The Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) expressed deep sorrow, highlighting her role in the expansion of the country's pharmaceutical sector. Major trade bodies, including the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), DSE Brokers Association (DBA), Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), mourned her passing.
Regional and global organisations including the United Nations in Bangladesh and the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to her family and the people of Bangladesh.
The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), and UGC also extended their deepest sympathies.
In addition, professional and social organisations including the Supreme Court Bar Association, Newspapers Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB), National Press Club, Dhaka Reporters Unity, Economic Reporters Forum (ERF), Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB), Urban Development Journalists Forum Bangladesh (UDJFB), Online Editors Alliance (OEA), Bangladesh Agriculture Reporters Forum (BARF), and various journalists' and civil society groups expressed sympathy, remembering Khaleda Zia's role in Bangladesh's political history.
Among others, University Teachers' Association of Bangladesh (UTAB), Bangladesh Election Commission (EC), University of Dhaka (DU), Jahangirnagar University (JU), Rajshahi University (RU), Chattagram University (CU), and different Universities also conveyed heartfelt condolences.
