The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday evening (7 March) picked up a student of Comilla University on suspicion of being a member of banned organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir.

The student, Hannan Rahim, was later released after interrogation at around 10:30pm, Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahinul Islam told The Business Standard.

Hannan is a student of 2017-2018 session at the university's Mathematics Department and also the general secretary of Theatre Comilla University.
