The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued a reportedly kidnapped teenage girl from Nilphamari and arrested her alleged abductor during a joint operation in Dhaka's Madhya Azampur Munshi Market area yesterday evening (13 April).

The accused, Md Shuvo Islam (21), son of Md Hasnur Rahman of Paschim Balagram village in Jaldhaka upazila, allegedly kidnapped the girl from nearby Purbo Balagram on 25 March.

Following a case filed by the victim's father with Jaldhaka Police Station, the RAB-13 in coordination with RAB-1 tracked down the suspect in the capital and conducted the raid.
