He said a team from the local Detective Branch of police conducted a raid around 1:00am based on information that a group of criminals was preparing for a dacoity in the Nowarpara Union Parishad at Sadar upazila.

The suspects attempted to flee in a microbus upon sensing the presence of law enforcement but were intercepted and arrested.

The law enforcers also seized two foreign pistols, three rounds of bullets and a microbus.

They have been arrested in two cases filed with the Jashore Kotowali Model Police Station.
