Constable's body recovered from building in Dhaka

Police recovered the body of a constable from the ground floor of a five-storey building in the capital's Doyaganj area on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Humayun Kabir, a driver posted to the Motor Transport (MT) Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
He hailed from Patuakhali district and lived in Doyaganj with his wife and two children.
Confirming the matter, Kamruzzaman Talukder, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station, said police found the body lying on the ground floor near the staircase of a building located at 71/C Haji Chan Mia Road in South Saidabad area after being informed.
A black mark was found around his neck, the OC said, adding that it was not immediately clear whether it was an incident of suicide or murder.
"The exact cause will be known after getting a post mortem report and investigation," he said.
Sub-Inspector Awlad Hossain, who was present at the scene, told mass media that a primary inquest report was being prepared and a team from the Crime Scene Unit had also arrived.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that the incident might be linked to family disputes, but whether it was suicide or murder could not be confirmed immediately, said police.
