Businessman shot dead in broad daylight in Khulna

A young businessman was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Piprail area of Khulna's Phultala Upazila this afternoon (22 April).
The victim was identified as Sumon Molla, 28.
The incident occurred around 1:30pm when Sumon, a resident of Piprail village, was returning home from his shop at Jamira Bazar on a motorcycle.

According to locals, Suman had closed his shop and was heading home when three assailants on a motorcycle intercepted him from behind. One of them shot him in the head before fleeing the scene.
Locals rushed him to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
