Awami League leader stabbed to death at home in Sylhet
The deceased, Abdur Razzak, was the vice president of the South Surma upazila unit of the Awami League and former general secretary of the South Surma upazila Sports Association.
An Awami League leader was found stabbed to death at his residence in Sylhet this morning (31 October), police said.

Mohammad Saiful Islam, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, said, "Abdur Razzak was killed sometime between 6:30am and 9am. There were multiple stab wounds on different parts of his body."
He added that police are working to uncover the motive and identify those involved in the murder.
According to local sources, Razzak went to the rooftop for a walk after the Fajr prayers. Around 9am, when family members could not find him in the house, they went upstairs and discovered his blood-soaked body lying on the rooftop.
Police later recovered the body and sent it to Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
