16-year-old arrested for raping four-year-old girl in Jhenaidah

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping a four-and-a-half-year-old girl in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah.
The victim's mother filed a case at Harinakunda police station yesterday afternoon (10 March), after which police arrested the accused.
According to the case statement, the accused Imran Hossain recently lured the child into a maize field and raped her.

The victim's family initially tried to keep the incident quiet, but as the child's condition worsened, she was admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Centre at Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, where her medical examination was conducted.
Harinakunda police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) MA Rouf Khan told the media, "Her mother filed a case at the police station on Monday afternoon.
"The child's medical examination has been completed at Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, and the accused has been arrested," he added.
