10 grenades, detonators, ammunition recovered from pond in Teknaf
Legal action is underway to identify and apprehend those involved.

Ten hand grenades, detonators, and ammunition -- kept inside a sack -- were recovered from a pond in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar during a joint operation by the Bangladesh Coast Guard and police this morning (31 May).
Confirming the information, Media Officer of Coast Guard Lt Commander Harun-or-Rashid said that the drive was conducted inside the Nature Park area of Domdomia in Teknaf, based on secret intelligence.
"During the operation, a one-hour search was carried out in the pond, where a submerged sack was found in a concealed manner. Inside the sack, 10 hand grenades and 10 grenade detonators were recovered," said Harun.
"Additionally, 27 rounds of rifle ammunition, two rounds of pistol bullets, and two litres of locally brewed liquor were found scattered near the edge of the pond," he added.
The media officer further said, "The culprits fled the scene sensing the presence of the joint forces, due to which no one could be detained.
"However, legal action is underway to identify and apprehend those involved with the explosives, ammunition, and narcotics."
