Cox’s Bazar records highest 36.8°C temperature
The Dhaka office will analyse the trend and determine whether the heat will continue or subside, says an assistant meteorologist

Cox's Bazar experienced its highest temperature of the year on Sunday (13 April), reaching 36.8 degrees Celsius, according to the local Meteorological Office.
Md Abdul Hannan, assistant meteorologist in Cox's Bazar, confirmed that the temperature was recorded at 3pm and later reported to the Dhaka office.
Yesterday's temperature stood at 34.5 degrees Celsius, he said.
When asked whether this qualifies as heatstroke conditions, Hannan explained, "If such high temperatures persist for several days, it may lead to heatstroke."
He added that the Dhaka office will analyse the trend and determine whether the heat will continue or subside.
"That assessment will take some time," said the official.
