Tribunal orders probe into Uttara mass killing during uprising to be completed by 6 July
A two-member Tribunal-1 bench led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumdar today (10 May) also set 6 July as the next hearing date.
The International Crimes Tribunal has ordered that the investigation into a case of crimes against humanity committed in the Uttara area of the capital during the July Uprising and its report be submitted by 6 July.

During the hearing, Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim appeared on behalf of the prosecution. He presented updates on the progress of the case and requested additional time to submit the investigation report.
Earlier in the day, five accused were produced before the tribunal. They are the former mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, Atiqul Islam, Uttara East Police Station Awami League's Education Affairs Secretary, Md Shahinur Mia, Uttara Sector 6 Awami League President, Md Bashir Uddin, Mamun Mondol, and Jaber Iqbal.
As part of the case, formal charges have been filed against 26 individuals over the killing of 11 people, including Mir Mugdha. Investigation into another segment of the incident is still ongoing.
