Muradnagar rape: Hearing on remand plea in pornography case today
Two separate cases have been filed in connection with the incident.

The hearing on a remand plea by police for the main accused in a Pornography Act case in connection with the rape of an expatriate's wife in Cumilla's Muradnagar upazila is scheduled to take place at a district court today (9 July).
The Investigating Officer (IO) of the case, Sub-Inspector (SI) Ruhul Amin of Muradnagar Police Station confirmed the matter.
The accused in Shah Poran, brother of another accused Fojor Ali.
During the hearing today, police will seek a 10-day remand for him.
Earlier, on 26 June night, a group of 8–10 men, including Shah Poran, allegedly physically assaulted the woman, and recorded explicit videos of her in Baherchar village of Muradnagar. The videos were later spread on social media.
Two separate cases were filed in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim underwent a medical test at Cumilla Medical College and Hospital yesterday, 12 days after the incident.
The delay in conducting the test is due to the woman's refusal to undergo a medical examination, said the IO.
