'May Bangladesh be well', says Barrister Suman in court
Sayedul Suman, along with former ministers Amir Hossain Amu, Hasanul Haq Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Anisul Huq, Abdur Razzaque, and former Jatrabari MP Kazi Monirul Islam Monu, was brought to the court from jail under strict security

Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman, former ministers, and several other political figures were produced before a Dhaka court today (17 September) in connection with a case filed over a murder during the July Uprising.
After the hearing, as he was being escorted from the courtroom, Barrister Suman commented, "considering the current state of the country… may Bangladesh be well," repeating the phrase several times.
Sayedul Suman, along with seven others, including former ministers Amir Hossain Amu, Hasanul Haq Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Anisul Huq, Abdur Razzaque, and former Jatrabari MP Kazi Monirul Islam Monu, was brought to the court from jail under strict security. They were handcuffed, wore helmets and bulletproof vests.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman granted a petition from the investigation officer, CTTC Sub-Inspector Shakhawat Hossain, to show the accused arrested in the case.
During the hearing, a lawyer for Amir Hossain Amu requested the court's permission to provide his client with a sandwich and dry food, stating that Amu, an elderly person with various illnesses, needs to eat on-time.
However, the public prosecutor, Omar Faruq Faruqi, opposed the request, and the court did not grant permission.
The case was filed at Jatrabari Police Station following the death of a worker, Md Riaz, 35, who was shot in front of the same police station on 5 August, the final day of the July Uprising.
