Ex-OC of Fatullah sentenced to 2 years in jail over concealing wealth information
The court fined him Tk50,000 and in default he will have to serve three more months in jail

A Dhaka court has sentenced former officer-in-charge (OC) of Fatullah Police Station Hasan Ali to two years in jail in a case filed over concealing information about his wealth.
Judge Md Abdullah Al Mamun of Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 delivered the verdict today (20 July).
Besides, the court fined him Tk50,000 and in default he will have to serve three more months in jail.
Today's verdict mentioned that the time Hasan Ali had already served in jail will be deducted from his sentence.
On 11 September 2014, Helal Uddin Sharif, assistant director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), filed the case with the Ramna Police Station.
According to the case statement, from 1997 to 26 December 2012, OC Hasan concealed information about acquiring assets worth Tk13.91 lakh from his wealth statement.
Meanwhile, his wife Mosammat Kamrunnahar Ruby was acquitted as the charges against her were not proven.
