A Dhaka court has placed two more suspects on a three-day remand each in connection with the brutal murder of scrap trader Lal Chand alias Md Shohag, 39, in front of Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital in the capital.

Following a hearing today (23 July), Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atikur Rahman passed the order after police produced the two suspects, Md Parvez and Md Zahirul Islam, before the court with a 10-day remand plea for each.

Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Moniruzzaman, who is also the case investigation officer, presented the duo before the court. However, no defence lawyers appeared on behalf of the accused during the hearing.
