2 sentenced to death for killing human hauler driver in Narail in 2020

A Dhaka court today (19 May) sentenced two people to death for killing a human hauler driver in 2020.
Narail District and Session Judge Sharmin Nigar handed down the punishment.
The condemned convicts were identified as Shahin Sheikh (24), son of Monjur Sheikh and Ramjan Kha (29), son of Ajibar Kha of Kamkhali village in Sadar upazila of Narail district.

The court also fined them Tk20,000 each.
According to the prosecution, Rahan Molla, 20, a human hauler driver and son of Chan Molla of Danga Singia village in Narail district, went missing on 24 November 2020.
Police recovered the body of Rahan from Bamonhat in Sadar upazila on the following day.
A case was filed in this connection.
Police submitted a chargesheet against three people.
After examining records and witnesses, the court sentenced two people to death and acquitted another one as allegations brought against him could not be proved.
