2 more arrested in Abu Sayed murder case; ICT orders public notice summoning 24 accused
The tribunal ordered that the two accused be produced before it on 22 July

Two more accused have been arrested in the murder case of Abu Sayed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, who was killed during the mass uprising last year.
The arrestees are Rafiul and Anwar. Police arrested them from Rangpur yesterday (12 July).
The International Crimes Tribunal-2, headed by Justice Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, today (13 July) ordered that the two accused be produced before it on 22 July.
In the same case, the tribunal has directed authorities to publish a notice in two national newspapers within seven days, summoning 24 accused — including fugitive former Rokeya University Vice-Chancellor Hasibur Rahman — to surrender.
Previously, four accused—former SI Amir Hossain, constable Sujan Chandra Roy, university proctor Shariful Islam, and Chhatra League activist Imran Chowdhury Akash — were presented before the tribunal.
The tribunal had earlier accepted charges in the case on 30 June and issued arrest warrants for 26 individuals, including former VC Hasibur, based on evidence against 30 people.
