Do not vote for those who helped ousted leaders escape country for money: ACC chairman
If extortionists and criminals are placed in charge after the election, achieving a developed nation will be impossible, says Mohammad Abdul Momen.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Abdul Momen has urged people not to vote for those who helped the erstwhile ousted rulers escape in exchange for money.
Speaking at a discussion organised by the ACC at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, marking International Anti-Corruption Day today (9 December), the commission chief said if voting takes place, 100% of people would vote against corruption, yet eliminating corruption remains difficult.
He warned that if extortionists and criminals are placed in charge after the election, achieving a developed nation will be impossible.
"Do not vote for those who helped the ousted individuals escape in exchange for money," Momen added.
