Contact govt thru Buddhist Welfare Trust to free occupied lands of religious establishments: Adviser Khalid
"We will practice religion, follow religion. But we will not harbour hatred,” he also said

Steps will be taken to return the illegally occupied lands of religious establishments, including mosques, temples, and crematoriums, to their rightful owners if they contact the government via the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust with proper documents, Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain has said.
"We will work to free the occupied lands of mosques, temples, and crematoriums, if [victims] contact the Buddhist Welfare Trust with the necessary documents including RS, BS," the adviser said at an event at Ukhiya of Cox's Bazar today (18 April).
He also called on everyone not to harbour hatred towards people of other religions.
"We will practice religion, follow religion. But we will not harbour hatred," he said.
He also spoke about the interim government's initiatives for the Buddhist community.
"If a Buddhist died in Dhaka, they would not be able to perform the funeral or burial ceremony. After taking charge, we arranged land and built a crematorium for them," he said.
Besides, he added that the government is providing financial assistance to every religious institution as much as it can.
The adviser also spoke at the Ukhiya Central Jama Masjid during the Jumma prayer.
In his speech there, he said, "This country belongs to everyone. Together, we will build a beautiful and prosperous state where there will be no discrimination."
