Coast guard holds youth awareness event at nalian outpost

The Bangladesh Coast Guard continues to conduct outreach to protect lives and property, perform rescues, and respond to natural disasters, its media officer, Lt Cdr Siam-ul-Haq, said this afternoon.
As part of these efforts, a public awareness meeting and workshop titled 'Festival of Youth 2025' was held at 10:00am today on the premises of Coast Guard Outpost Nalian, under the theme "Let's Change the Country, Change the World."
Students from local schools, madrasas, and the broader community participated in sessions on environmental and forest protection, wildlife conservation, and disaster rescue operations. They gained practical knowledge to help protect their communities. Educational supplies, including notebooks, pens, rulers, and pencils, were distributed to participating students to support their learning.
The Coast Guard regularly organizes such programs to raise public awareness of safety, conservation, and disaster preparedness, and it will continue these efforts.
