CID officer Mashiur arrested, transferred to International Crimes Tribunal

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mashiur Rahman, who was serving in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Mashiur was detained this afternoon (30 October) while on duty at the CID headquarters.
Confirming the arrest, DB chief Shafiqul Islam said, "The ICT had issued a requisition for his arrest. Acting on that, we, along with ICT officials, arrested him from the CID's Detective Training School premises."

"Later, he was handed over to the ICT," he added.
However, DB didn't mention the reason behind his arrest.
