CA Yunus seeks prayers for Khaleda Zia's recovery

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep concern over the current health condition of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Yunus has been regularly monitoring updates on Khaleda Zia's medical progress and has instructed all concerned to ensure every necessary form of medical support, reads a statement from CA's Press Wing.
The chief adviser sought prayers from the citizens for the swift recovery of the former prime minister.
"There must be no shortcomings in Khaleda Zia's treatment. The government is prepared to provide all necessary support," he said.
"In this period of democratic transition, Khaleda Zia is a great source of inspiration for the nation. Her good health is extremely important for the country."
Yunus also directed all relevant authorities to remain fully prepared with necessary support and coordination at all times.
Khaleda Zia, 80, has been suffering from multiple health complications, including heart problems, liver and kidney issues, diabetes, lung problems, arthritis, and eye-related illnesses.
Yesterday (27 November), BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said Khaleda Zia was being treated in the coronary care unit (CCU) of the hospital under intensive monitoring by medical board specialists, including local and foreign physicians.
Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Sunday night (23 November). She is under the care of Evercare specialist Professor Dr Md Shahabuddin Talukder.
