BCCCI election to be held on 23 August

Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) has officially fixed 23 August as the date for the election of its upcoming board of directors for 2025-2027 term.
The announcement, made from the Chamber's office in the capital's Gulshan-2 area, comes in accordance with the Trade Organization Act 2022, the Trade Organization Rules 1994, and the Chamber's own Memorandum and Articles of Association, said a press release.
According to the announcement, the election will be held on Saturday (23 August), to form a 25-member board of directors.
The new board will include 15 office bearers and 10 directors, while the voting will take place at a venue to be announced later.
The Chamber has also clarified that if any activity listed in the election schedule cannot be completed on the assigned date for any reason, it will automatically be conducted on the following working day at the same time.
The BCCCI plays a key role in promoting bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and China, and the upcoming election is expected to shape the direction of the organisation for the next two years, said the press release.
