Bangladesh, Türkiye to deepen ties in education, healthcare and technology: Yunus
The chief adviser also thanked the Turkish government for providing free medical treatment to seven Bangladeshis injured during the July Revolution

Bangladesh and Türkiye will work together to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore new avenues of partnership in education, healthcare, and technology, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said today (7 October).
During a meeting with Ambassador Berris Ekinci, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, at the State Guest House Jamuna, according to the chief adviser's press wing.
"This is my first visit to Bangladesh," Ambassador Ekinci said, expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to her delegation.
She conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has invited the chief adviser to visit Türkiye at a mutually convenient time.
In response, Professor Yunus said he would be pleased to visit Türkiye soon, noting the deep-rooted cultural and historical bonds between the two nations.
"We want to take our relationship higher than ever," he said.
"This is a new beginning after the July Uprising, and our two countries can work together closely in areas such as education, healthcare, and technology," he added.
The chief adviser also thanked the Turkish government for providing free medical treatment to seven Bangladeshis injured during the July Revolution.
Reaffirming Türkiye's continued support for Bangladesh's development, Ambassador Ekinci said, "Türkiye always encourages education and offers scholarships, as well as short- and long-term exchange programmes that benefit students."
The meeting was attended by Senior Secretary and SDG Coordinator Lamiya Morshed, Bangladesh's Ambassador to Türkiye M Amanul Haq, and Md Mosharaf Hossain, Director General of the East Europe and CIS Wing.
