Art event held at Panthokunjo Park to protest expressway project

On the 51st day of the continuous sit-in protest demanding the cancellation of the elevated expressway link road from FDC to Palashi, environmental activists and locals organised an art event at Panthokunjo Park today (1 February).
The event, titled "Painting Together at Panthokunjo", was arranged by Bangladesh Tree Protection Movement, POBA, Prottasha (an anti-drug organisation), *Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust, and Panthakunja Provati Sangha, reads apress release.

Renowned artist Kafil Ahmed inaugurated the event, where over a hundred children from Dhaka Ideal Cadet School, Milon Hope Night School, Lokkhi Bibi Night School, and Mobile Quality School participated. Local children also joined the event.
