Elevated expressway: Vehicles to get on free via airport toll plaza from 11am to 3pm tomorrow
The move comes ahead of Tarique Rahman's arrival in the country on 25 December
The Airport area's toll plaza of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway will remain toll-free for four hours tomorrow (25 December) to facilitate smooth entry into the capital.
According to a press release, vehicles entering the capital through the airport elevated expressway will not be required to pay tolls between 11am and 3pm.
The move comes ahead of Tarique Rahman's arrival in the country on 25 December.
According to sources, there is a possibility of a large public gathering tomorrow in the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area, on the roads from the airport to Gulshan, and on the Purbachal Expressway (300 Feet Road), which may result in severe traffic congestion.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is organising a public reception to welcome its Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, who is returning to the country after nearly a decade and a half. Preparations are underway at a 300-feet area in Dhaka's Purbachal, where a stage is being set up for the event.
