826 judges reshuffled across country ahead of polls
250 additional district judges were elevated to district judges, 294 joint district judges were promoted to additional district judges, and 282 senior assistant judges were promoted to joint district judges.
The interim government has reshuffled a total of 826 judges across the country, ahead of the national parliamentary election.
According to a notification issued today (26 November), signed by the Law and Justice Division Deputy Secretary AFM Golzar Rahman, 250 additional district judges were elevated to district judges, 294 joint district judges were promoted to additional district judges, and 282 senior assistant judges were promoted to joint district judges.
The notification further stated that the transferred officers must hand over their current responsibilities to designated successors by 27 November, and they are directed to join their new workplaces by 1 December.
Earlier on 25 August, the government had transferred 230 judges. They include 41 district judges, 53 additional district judges, 40 joint district judges, and 96 senior assistant judges and assistant judges.
