607 applications filed seeking re-demarcation of 75 constituencies: EC Sanuallah
This matter was just presented in today’s meeting. Detailed discussions will take place after Eid-ul-Adha, he says

The Election Commission has received 607 applications requesting the re-demarcation of 75 parliamentary constituencies ahead of the upcoming national election, Commissioner Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah said today (4 June).
Speaking to the reporters after a meeting at the Election Commission Secretariate in Dhaka's Agargaon, he said, "This matter was just presented in today's meeting. Detailed discussions will take place after Eid-ul-Adha."
According to EC sources, the applications for the re-demarcation came from various districts across the country. A majority of the submissions demand the reinstatement of the 2001 constituency boundaries.
However, the number of parliamentary seats will remain fixed at 300 for the upcoming election. Any changes in the constituency boundaries will be carried out in accordance with existing laws.
The commission officials said in the past, the EC would typically prepare a draft list after re-demarcating parliamentary constituencies. It would then allow time for objections, claims, or complaints to be submitted regarding the draft. After reviewing and holding hearings on those submissions, the final list of constituencies would be determined.
The current commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin, is giving importance to the applications that have been submitted. Summaries of those applications are being prepared and analysed for further consideration.
