6 held with foreign firearms in Bashundhara RA
During a raid conducted yesterday (29 August) afternoon at an apartment in Bashundhara’s New York Magic Tower, the elite force seized two foreign pistols, two revolvers, and 10 rounds of ammunition.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested six individuals with foreign firearms from a flat in the capital's Bashundhara Residential Area.
During a raid conducted yesterday (29 August) afternoon at an apartment in Bashundhara's New York Magic Tower, the elite force seized two foreign pistols, two revolvers, and 10 rounds of ammunition.
According to a press release from RAB's media wing, the arrestees were identified as Rakibul Hasan France, 35, Riazul Islam, 35, Kamruzzaman alias Naim, 27, Alam, 33, Al-Amin, 30, and Nayan, 32.

The release added, "During primary interrogation, the detainees admitted that they had been involved in various criminal activities while keeping illegal firearms in their possession."
"They were active in land grabbing, extortion, mugging, robbery, and drug trade in Bashundhara, the 300 Feet area, and other parts of Dhaka," it said.
RAB further mentioned that efforts are underway to arrest their associates based on information provided by them and legal proceedings are currently in process.
