6 burnt in gas explosion in Dhaka

Six people sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at the Pakistan Maat area in Dhaka on Monday night.
The injured were rushed to the emergency unit of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 10 pm, according to Dr Shaon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the institute.
"One of the patients suffered 11% burns along with suspected inhalation injury and has been admitted for treatment. The others are under observation," he said.

The institute's director visited the injured along with on-duty doctors and issued necessary medical instructions, he added.
