Another road accident in Ctg's Jangalia kills 10, including women, children
Five people were killed in a head-on collision between two buses at the same location on Eid day

Ten people, including women and children, have been killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus in the Chunati Jangalia portion of the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway.
The accident occurred around 7:15am this morning (2 April) at the Chunti Jangalia, a part of Chattogram's Lohagara upazila.
"Three women, three men, and one girl child died on the spot. The three seriously injured victims were sent to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex. Another woman died there," Subo Ranjan Chakma, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Station, told The Business Standard.
"The remaining two were transferred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH)," he added.
He said the identities of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Nurul Alam Ashek, in-charge of the CMCH police outpost, said one seriously injured man and one woman from the Lohagara accident were brought to the hospital.
"Both of them died while undergoing treatment there," he added.
OC Subo Ranjan said earlier that the microbus had a Dhaka Metro number plate. "We believe it is from Dhaka. The passengers might also be from Dhaka," he added.
Earlier on Eid day (31 March), five people were killed in a head-on collision between two buses at the same location around 7:30am in the morning.
The next day (1 April), two microbuses lost control and fell into a ditch at the same spot, injuring eight.
When asked why accidents keep occurring at the same spot, OC Subo Ranjan Chakma explained, "The accident site has a slight curve. There is also a slight slope. This probably causes vehicles to speed."
"Many drivers fail to control their speed when they reach this location," he added.
