4.0 magnitude earthquake jolts Dhaka, other parts of Bangladesh
Epicenter of the earthquake was located on the India-Bangladesh border

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake at a depth of 10 km jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country at 4:52pm today (11 April).
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the epicenter of the earthquake was located on the India-Bangladesh border.
The epicenter was about 68 km north of Cumilla city in Bangladesh and 26 km north of Agartala city in India, According to the EMSC.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) also confirmed the matter in a message, stating that the epicenter was 105 km east-northeast from the BMD Seismic Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.
