A Mymensingh-bound bus from Kishorganj rammed the auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction in Gouripur area

4 killed in Mymensingh bus crash

Four passengers were killed as a bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh on Wednesday.

The deceased are auto-rickshaw driver Rafiqul Islam, 55, Sahara Banu, 62, Lal Mia, 50 and his mother Rabeya Khatun, 75.

"A Mymensingh-bound bus from Kishorganj rammed the auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction in Gouripur area," Officer-in-charge (OC) of Gouripur Police Station, Borhan Uddin confirmed.

One passenger died on the spot while three others died on the way to the hospital, he added.

Eight other critically injured passengers were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, OC added.
